Are you weary from all the hustle and bustle that life brings? Grab another couple or some friends and come getaway to a serene setting out in the countryside at this adorable French inspired cottage that sleeps up to 6 adults! Less than a mile from town and across from the local golf club, Hidden Pearl Inn sits atop the crest of a hill overlooking 28 rolling acres that includes a vineyard , rolling hills and timber to be explored. Imagine yourself sitting on the front porch or the tree swing nearby while sipping coffee, wine, or your favorite beverage and taking in vineyard views as you let your worries slip away or escape to the balcony where you will be amazed by some of the best sunrises and sunsets around. When you tire of relaxing, tv binging, playing games, reading and/or cooking at the quaint little cottage, we encourage you to take a stroll around our property, observing the ever changing vineyard, timber and rolling hills with a shallow creek at the base. By chance, you may even see some turkeys or deer along the way! Also available for your enjoyment are indoor and outdoor games, a tree swing and fire table where you can enjoy a picnic and smores. Visit the local grocery store nearby and get ready to cook or grill your favorite meal that can be enjoyed indoors or outdoors in a variety of areas. Rent a kayak or two and enjoy some time at the nearby Pony Creek Lake. We will drop off and pick up the kayaks as we are available to do so! End your day by watching the sun set over the neighboring pond from a variety of vantage points. If you are looking for a place to relax and restore....look no further! Come let us pamper you! ABOUT
Hidden Pearl Inn began as a grain storage barn many years ago. This small story and a half building was later moved from one farmstead to another, a few windows were added and it was used as a playhouse for the past 16 years. The owners were ready for something different and more practical for their next stage of life, so we saw this as an opportunity to repurpose this sweet little building with a story into an airbnb.
We have been designing tiny home options for several years with the idea of sharing our relaxing setting with others. This little building seemed like the perfect opportunity to take something with a historical background, and repurpose it into something that could be shared with others. So it was decided to move it on to a daylight basement to maximize it’s usability, sleeping up to 6 adults.
Through much love and hard work from many people of various gifts and talents, we were able to repurpose many of the materials (shiplap, floorboards, and barn beams) from this building and another grain storage building on our property that was nearing the end of it’s life, to build character back into the space.
Some special features to enjoy about Hidden Pearl Inn include a King loft suite complete with it's own full bath with 2 vintage dressers converted to vanities. The king bed features a large skylight to view the night sky and it’s own balcony which overlooks the vineyard and rolling hills valley and timber. The balcony is a great intimate space to enjoy your morning coffee from the in suite coffee bar for two as you watch the sun come up over the vineyard. The loft suite also includes a desk area, reading chair, closet and coffee bar/dresser. The main floor includes a corner sectional living area with an electric fireplace console / tv, a large window overlooking the valley with a live edge slab dining bar and a full kitchen/coffee bar, and lastly a laundry room/half bath. The vintage style daylight basement with original exposed rustic support beams and original staircase includes a queen bed and 2 twin loft bed, sitting area/TV, a desk area, clothes hanging shelf and full bathroom. Don’t miss out on enjoying the front porch with 2 chairs to relax and enjoy a nice cold drink, glass of wine or hot coffee while soaking up views of the vineyard. Other outdoor amenities include a fire glass table with Adirondack chairs for lounging and making smores over the glistening fire, walking trail through the timber and around the vineyard, lighted cornhole, croquet, bocce ball, or 2 kayaks (available for renting-delivery to Pony Creek Lake and pickup when available).
Hidden Pearl Inn gets it’s name from the grapes we grow, Petite Pearl, and the idea of a “hidden” quaint little space to come and get away from the busyness of life and reconnect with loved ones and nature. Our grapes are maintained and sourced out to Liquid Art Winery in Manhattan, KS. only 1.5 hrs. from here and worth your time to visit! We truly believe this is a hidden pearl and hope you find it to be as well.
